Pure Flight Phoenix (Petrol)
The sleek Pure Flight Phoenix is manufactured in the Czech Republic. A two-seat low wing monoplane, its excellent design and surface finish enable a low fuel consumption of 12.5 litres per hour giving a range of over 1,200 kilometres. Its spacious and ergonomic cockpit ensures complete comfort even on those long flights
The Phoenix is a multi-role aircraft fully capable as either a Light Aircraft, Motor Glider or Glider Tow Plane. With a standard wingspan of 11 metres with the option of detachable winglets. Conversion into a motor glider takes only a couple minutes with the fitment of 15-metre extensions.
Powered by the efficient Rotex 912 in with either 80hp or 100hp output. For soaring, a fully adjustable propeller is available.
As a Motor Glider, it achieves a respectable glide angle 1:30. While as a Tow Plane it has a maximum glider towing weight of 650 kg all up weight. The outstanding fuel consumption at only 100 litres for 8 hours makes it ideal for glider towing operations.
Phoenix is a good business fit for gliding clubs with it capability to perform as a Tow Plane, Motor Glider or Light Aircraft therefore providing multiple income streams through all three roles.
The wings can be detached and stored along with the fuselage and tailplane in a trailer for transportation with reassembly less than the time to drink a cup of coffee.
Instrument panels are also available to suit every pilot from a basic instrument panel, glider instrument panel to a full Dynon glass cockpit.
An optional ballistic parachute full aircraft recovery system is available to enhance safety.
